Rise Robotics is announcing the Rise Cylinder: an electromechanical, maintenance-free, and fluid-free linear actuator with increased power density and reliability to roller-screws and hydraulics.

• Replaces hydraulics of all sizes, enabling all-electric, quieter, and more efficient machines
• Provides 9.5 kN rated load at 1,120 km (695.9 mile) service life
• Features 95 mm (3.7 in.) diameter, 1.2 m (47.2 in.) maximum stroke, and 0.8 m/s (2.6 ft./s) maximum speed
• Can be built to sizes that roller-screws and other linear actuators cannot, allowing for larger all-electric lifting machines
• Can be fabricated with extremely long strokes for special applications
• Not constrained by screw-related limitations unlike roller screws
• Does not require any fluid, pumps or lubrication
• Dry system that requires no maintenance for millions of cycles
• Offered in sizes up to 650 mm (25.6 in.) in diameter, providing thrust loads of 450 kN and speeds up to 1.0 m/s (3.3 ft./s)
