Technology News Tracker: ZF Presents Vision for Autonomous Vehicles

ZF recently demonstrated its vision for the future of autonomous vehicles.

Both its Innovation Truck and Terminal Yard Tractor are fully autonomous vehicle concepts which eliminate the need for a driver.

Cameras, specialized radar, and 3D Solid State LIDAR are among the ZF technologies working together to automate all driving functions.

The goal is to help increase safety by offering relief and driver support through the ability to have driverless operation.

ZF says the first potential for autonomous vehicles will be in restricted areas and off-highway applications, followed by long-haul vehicles.
