W. Wade Robey, Ph.D., joined Raven Applied Technology in August 2016 as Director of Engineering. In this role, he leads the growth and development of Raven’s precision agriculture product line. His prior experience in the agriculture industry and his innovative vision for progress will make him a strong leader and asset to the Raven team.
Prior to joining Raven, Dr. Robey was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for POET, the world’s largest bioethanol company. In that capacity, he oversaw the company’s vibrant research and commercial development activities at its 28 biorefineries across the United States. He also served on the Board for the POET|DSM Joint Venture for Advanced Biofuels.
Dr. Robey has had more than 28 years of experience in senior commercial and technical roles in the Plant & Microbial Biotech, Human Food, Industrial Enzyme, Animal Nutrition and Ethanol Industries at companies such as Monsanto, Novus International, Cargill, Syngenta Novozymes and POET.
Dr. Robey earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from Auburn University and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech.
