The German manufacturer KAMAG, part of the TII Group - world market leader in the manufacture of vehicles with hydraulically suspended pendulum axles - has delivered K24 Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMT) to BOS-Shelf in Baku, Azerbaijan. The electronically steered vehicles are used to move heavy steel pipes with lengths up to 24 m and diameters up to 5 m, modular equipment of deep sea jackets with total weights up to 800 tons or parts of heavy cranes, as well as for various other smaller loads.
Moving heavy loads on-site fast and safe becomes an easy task with SPMTs of the TII Group, no matter if SCHEUERLE SPMT, KAMAG K24 or modular SP and SPE models of SCHEUERLE, NICOLAS and KAMAG. Therefore, BOS-Shelf LLC had ordered a total of 24 axle lines together with suitable power packs, remote controls and bolsters with 300 tons payload, as well as a SALSA software package allowing them to perform all necessary calculations and simulations for transport tasks. A set of connection elements allows operation of the modules in open compounds or mechanically coupled in order to be fitted to any load or transportation task. In order to guarantee an especially high level of skills amongst the operators, BOS-Shelf LLC decided prolonged training for its staff by experienced KAMAG engineers. The feedback given by BOS-Shelf LLC on the quality of the delivered vehicles, the project management and the general contact with KAMAG has been overwhelmingly positive.
