Tactical Vehicles Summit
An IDGA sponsored event focusing on military equipment and issues
The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) is sponsoring the 5th Annual Tactical Vehicles Summit. Each year the summit addresses tactical vehicle strategy, procurement, challenges and opportunities within the field of military vehicles.
This year's focus will be on the challenges facing the MRAP, JLTV, HMMWV ECV and MTVR/LVSR. Much of the summit will focus on the future outlook and requirements for tactical vehicles.
Topics of focus will include:
- Objectives, plans and next steps to be taken in the JLTV, HMMWV ECV and MRAP program
- Future requirements and planning fo rthe TWV fleet
- Developments in applied vehicle technology
- Adapting to budget realities-streamlining vehicle development and acquisition
The Future Armor Technology Focus Day on Monday, April 23, will investigate new technologies and best practices for continued development of armor protection. Everything from materials composites to design will be examined, including implementation of stronger yet lighter weight solutions.
