Manitou Group is launching its full line of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP) in North America. The machines will be built in France; a new manufacturing facility is currently under construction to help with the increased production.

North America is the largest MEWP market, and is anticipated to continue growing over the next several years, leading to the company's decision to bring the machines to the market. About 95% of MEWPs go into the rental market which will surpass $71 billion in 2023 according to the American Rental Association's (ARA) forecast. The MEWP rental market alone is expected to exceed $24 billion by 2024.

Models available in North America—which for the company is the U.S. and Canada—will include articulated and straight boom types. Diesel and electric options are part of the range, as well.
