At a recent hearing on diesel emissions held by Congress, the National Biodiesel Board (NBB) spoke about the benefits of biodiesel. The NBB emphasized to Congress that blending biodiesel with petroleum diesel can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
While speaking to Congress the NBB also noted that biodiesel is a simple alternative fuel to produce and can help create jobs as well as reduce the U.S.'s dependence on foreign oil.
