U.S. New Market Export Initiative Program Launching at NFPA Regional Meeting

NFPA's 2011 Chicago Regional Meeting will be the launching ground for the organization's participation in the U.S New Market Export Initiative Program.

The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) 2011 Chicago Regional Meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 8, is the kick-off meeting for NFPA’s involvement with the U.S. Department of Commerce and its Strategic Partnership Office. Matt Kennedy, the Director of this office, will be on-hand to explain a program they have established to provide resources for small-to-medium sized businesses interested in either beginning to export their products or explore more export markets.

Plus, this year’s NFPA Chicago Regional will also feature Scott Brave of the Chicago Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank. Brave will share an economic update for the Midwest Region. Brave always enjoys NFPA meetings as he gains valuable insights from attendees that could make their way to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors table where anecdotal as well as hard data is shared. If attendees would like to be a regular resource for the Federal Reserve Beige Book, Brave will be happy to discuss it such opportunities.

NFPA Regional Meetings are always free and scheduled to fit within busy workdays. The 2011 Chicago meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m. and finish by 1:30 p.m. This year the meeting will be held at the Intercontinental Chicago O’Hare, 5300 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL. This property is centrally located for those in the Chicago area and within minutes of O’Hare for attendees flying in.
