Volvo Construction Equipment Names New VP of Communications

Volvo Construction Equipment announces it has named a new Vice President Corporate Communications for the group's EMEA sales region.

Effective March 1, 2012, Suzanne Darié will take over the role of Vice President Corporate Communication for Volvo Construction Equipment’s newly formed EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) sales region.

In her new role, Suzanne will report to regional president Tomas Kuta and be responsible for all corporate communication activities within the region, as well as being a member of the EMEA management team.

Suzanne, 42, holds a university degree in Communication from Pontificea Universidade Católica in Brazil. She started her career with Publicis Group in Brazil, where she spent seven years as events manager. She joined Volvo in 2005 as marketing communication analyst for Volvo CE Latin America and was appointed marketing communication manager in 2010. In that function, she managed the company’s Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) activities and was closely involved in the introduction of sister brand SDLG products in Latin America.

Commenting on her new appointment Suzanne says: “This is a tremendously exciting opportunity, and one I am very much looking forward to embracing. Volvo CE has developed incredibly in the last few years. We are now a global market leader with one of the strongest brands and most complete product offerings in the industry. I hope to play a part in effectively communicating the good work Volvo CE is doing in EMEA, and promoting our excellence in innovation and the Volvo core values of Quality, Safety and Environmental Care.”

Suzanne is the mother of two girls aged 14 and 10, and the family will be relocating to Eskilstuna, Sweden.
