Report Shows Fuel Cell Market Grew in 2011

The DOE's 2011 Fuel Cell Technologies Market Report shows the fuel cell industry grew in 2011, and will continue to do so through 2012 as fuel cell costs and technology improve.

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) 2011 Fuel Cell Technologies Market Report indicates there was significant growth in the fuel cell industry in 2011, and will continue to grow through 2012. The report also found use of fuel cells in commercial markets, especially the material handling industry, grew extensively in 2011 with over 3,000 fuel cell forklifts deployed or on order in the U.S.

Increasing availability of fuel cells, lower prices and improvements in performance and durability will help the fuel cell market continue its upward climb.
