The great EIMA International agricultural mechanization exposition is shaping up to achieve an all-time record and expectations are for experiencing a memorable edition. The event organized by FederUnacoma for a run from November 12 to 16 in the Bologna Trade Fair Center can already today report an exhibition area expanded by more than 10% over that allocated for the 2012 edition, up to 150,000 m² net and a total of some 300,000 m². The number of exhibiting industries has reached 1,800 and that of official foreign delegations of business people is now set at 40, arriving from around the globe. The interest of the exhibiting industries in the review, billed as one of the world's most prestigious and traditional events in the sector, cuts across all the merchandise categories as testified to by standing room only already achieved and the waiting lists drawn up for the 14 sectors of specializations and the four theme salons. These are EIMA Components, dedicated to components and spare parts; EIMA Green, specialized in machinery and equipment for gardening and groundskeeping; EIMA Energy, set up for technologies for the use of renewable energy sources; EIMA M.i.A., focused on multifunctional farming and activities set in a rural environment. With these numbers and expectations, the arrival of all the world's major manufacturers and all the most dynamic and innovative players in the sector, the Bologna exposition should draw more than 200,000 businesspeople to confirm the trend of steady growth for the event. In the six editions staged from 2002 to 2012, EIMA International has reported a 69% increase in visitors registered and is showing promise for continuing this expansion in the future. The agricultural mechanization market, moreover, is growing at the global level, thanks in part to the development of agriculture in the emerging countries, and EIMA in Bologna is the site par excellence for the meeting of supply and demand of technologies for agriculture in ongoing progress.
