Topcon Names New Ag Product Marketing Manager

Topcon announces that T. Joe Robertson has joined the company as a product marketing manager.

T. Joe Robertson, an experienced marketing communications and public relations manager with extensive experience in wireless technology and precision agriculture, has been named product marketing manager for Topcon Precision Agriculture (TPA).

Mark Contino, vice president of product marketing, says, “Joe is a highly accomplished marketing professional with extensive business-to-business experience, plus he has a wealth of knowledge in the precision agriculture business.”

He says Robertson’s background in product branding, development of marketing plans and creativity in development of product collateral materials will “be invaluable to the future endeavors of TPA’s efforts in the Americas and around the world.”

Albert Zahalka, president of TPA, says, “Joe is known throughout the agriculture marketplace as a consummate professional. With his extensive background and experience, he brings a skill-set to the company that will benefit Topcon, its dealer network and customers.”

Robertson’s experience includes vice president of McCann-Erickson advertising agency in San Francisco, and the Lois/USA agency in Chicago. Additionally, he has served as manager of communications for Novariant, Inc., of Fremont, CA, where he managed all communications for its AutoFarm division.

Contino says, “Joe’s skill sets in the areas of marketing strategy, planning and budgeting, branding, trade shows and events and channel communications and promotions, will prove invaluable to Topcon’s efforts in the precision agriculture marketplace.”
