The sixth edition of bauma China 2012, the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery and Construction, which ended on November 30, saw a 16% increase in the number of visitors (180,000), despite the slowdown in the market worldwide. After China, the top 10 countries for visits were Russia, Korea, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Turkey. Exhibitors were up 46% (2,718) over the previous edition and exhibition space fully occupied (+30%, 300,000 m2) the New International Expo Centre in Shanghai. After China (1,837 companies), the top five countries for exhibitors were Germany (172), Italy (122), United States (116), Korea (67) and Japan (49).
Comer Industries attended the event with its international staff on an exhibition area of 75 m² in the hall of top component manufacturers, that had many visits. Of particular interest for visitors and customers were the company’s new solutions for road building and maintenance. Comer Industries exhibited the PG 701 PS drive for conveyors and augers for pavers, and the PGRF 802 wheel drive for paving machine traction . On show for the first time in Asia was the PG954 PR, a transmission for the extension arm of concrete pumps, highly customizable, which extends the range of drives specifically designed for this application.
Completing the products on show were the PG 503 PR planetary drive for crane rotation, the PGRF2443 wheel drive for soil compactors, and the products for earthmoving machinery and material handling: the S 128 differential axle and the EL 96 electric wheel.
The sales staff also introduced a new range of rigid and steering axles, S228 and S238, which delivers increased efficiency, compact size and enhanced performance for the same weight, that will presented to bauma 2013 exhibition in Munich.
bauma China was a fair at an international level and it highlighted interesting opportunities for new contacts in Europe.
