Newly opened Sennebogen Academy offers onsite employee training and equipment demonstrations for customers

Sennebogen Academy includes a machine training center, training and conference rooms, as well as a demonstration site.

"With the opening of our SENNEBOGEN Academy we are investing in the future. Instruction and training are the supporting pillars of every enterprise. We are building on well-trained employees and dealers and we are also offering our customers the perfect environment to even better 'experience' our machines. At the same time the Erich Sennebogen Museum ventures to look back to the roots of the family-run enterprise, SENNEBOGEN," is how CEO Erich Sennebogen concisely expressed the idea of the recently-opened SENNEBOGEN Academy.

With the official opening of the SENNEBOGEN Academy and the Erich Sennebogen Museum in May 2014, the family-run enterprise sets another milestone in the more than 60-year company history. In its facilities, the newly-founded SENNEBOGEN Academy GmbH & Co. KG houses a modern machine training center, including demonstration site, in addition to generously-dimensioned training rooms and conference rooms. In an authentic manner, the Erich Sennebogen Museum offers insights into the company's history. With the historic machines in view and framed by original contemporary documents and exhibits, the museum invites all to have a look around. In the future the pyramid-shaped building will also offer facilities for events of all types, from a conference to a formal ball.

Continuing the success story - innovation made in Straubing since 1952

Founded in 1952 in the Lower-Bavarian community of Pilling near Straubing, the family-run enterprise, SENNEBOGEN, in the past six decades, has established itself as the quality leader in many sectors of the crane and machine construction industry. As an enterprise active around the world, SENNEBOGEN develops and produces complete model series for duty cycle cranes, crawler cranes, telescopic cranes and harbor cranes, material handling machines and multiloaders, as well as carriers. In addition to flexible series production machines, SENNEBOGEN also designs special custom machines in close collaboration with customers and produces them at three Bavarian locations in Straubing and Wackersdorf.

The development of the company is impressive. Organically grown, today SENNEBOGEN with approximately 1,100 employees and an annual turnover of approximately 300 million euros, is present with innovative solutions on all continents. The company is lead in the second generation by Erich and Walter Sennebogen. The company is represented by its own subsidiaries in the key regions, such as the USA and Singapore. With more than 120 international sales partners, the fastest possible service and competent consulting are guaranteed.

From the Lower-Bavarian manure loader to the global business environment

Early on the company founder Erich Sennebogen Sr. developed a keen sense for innovative solutions and new markets. Milestones were the founding of the plant in Straubing in 1959, made necessary by the rapid turnover development of the first seven years of the young company. The 1,000th excavator came off the assembly line in 1960, and true to the guiding principle, "There’s no such thing as can’t," many developments followed, from the world's first fully hydraulic duty cycle crawler crane to the GAUH articulated boom. Expansion into new markets, as early as 1973 in the Arabic counties and Africa, as well as the construction of the plant in Wackersdorf, are the fruits of a flourishing development. With the integration of the former Hungarian steelwork supplier in the SENNEBOGEN Group in 1996, the construction of Plant 2 in the Staubing Port industrial area in 2008, and finally the founding of the SENNEBOGEN Academy GmbH & Co KG, the family-run enterprise adds additional chapters to its success story.
