POSITAL has become a member of the Control Systems Integrators Association (CSIA), a not-for-profit trade association aimed at advancing the practice of systems integration in the area of industrial control systems.

POSITAL supports the control system industry by supplying motion and position sensors used in motion control and industrial automation applications. The company’s IXARC rotation sensors, TILTIX inclinometers and LINARIX linear position sensors are used in material handling, food processing, mining, oil and gas, and many other areas to precisely position mechanical components. They are also used in safety systems for mobile machinery in construction, agriculture etc. to help ensure that moving parts stay within safe limits. Incremental encoders are used in motor control systems and other areas where accurate and reliable monitoring of rotational speed is essential.

“We work very hard to make life easy for system integrators,” explains Christian Fell, General Manager of POSITAL in North America. “Our sensors are highly modular in design and assembled through an innovative just-in-time manufacturing process that makes it possible to deliver custom-built products quickly, at mass-produced prices.” Over 250,000 configurations are available, covering a wide range of measurement ranges and mechanical options. Supported electronic interfaces include analog, serial (SSI), fieldbus (CANopen, DeviceNet, J1939 and PROFIBUS), along with the popular industrial Ethernet variants such as EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and Modbus.
