New Holland’s hardworking T4 Series tractors (86 to 117 engine horsepower) set a new standard for performance and efficiency in a utility tractor. These tractors are now powered by clean-burning Tier 4B engines that not only improve fuel efficiency, but also generate greater torque and power to handle tough jobs. Impressive features include the deluxe VisionView cab, the ergonomic CommandArc console, and Dual Command transmission.

“The T4 Series is well-suited to the demands of livestock and dairy farmers who carry out extensive hay and forage and feeding applications, and is a smart choice for diversified operations requiring a highly productive, mid-range utility tractor,” says Michael Cornman, New Holland Dairy and Livestock Marketing Segment Leader.

New Tier 4 Final engines: fuel efficient, more torque
The four-cylinder engines in the T4 Series are Tier 4B compliant and deliver more power, torque and efficiency compared to the Tier 4 Interim certified engines in the previous T4 Series models. To meet the Tier 4 Final emissions standards, New Holland utilizes an ECOBlue Compact SCR + Light CEGR aftertreatment system. It’s a simple solution that not only reduces emissions, but also improves fuel efficiency by 3% over Tier 4 Interim engines. Unlike other tractors that use a diesel particulate filter (DPF) that must be “regenerated,” the New Holland system is completely automatic with no regeneration which means no need to stop working while the tractor regenerates.

With four valves per cylinder and a “state of the art” electronic high pressure common rail fuel system, these turbo diesel engines generate more power, more torque and greater torque rise for better performance in demanding conditions.

A comfortable choice: the VisionView cab
Operator comfort is a prerequisite for optimum productivity, especially during long, demanding days. The VisionView cab provides ergonomic excellence as a standard feature. All controls fall perfectly to hand for operators of all shapes and sizes. The most frequently used controls, including the throttle, PTO and hydraulic remote levers, have been placed to the right of the operator on the ergonomic CommandArc console to reduce fatigue and increase operator precision.

The curved, rear side windows, which can be opened, deliver a clear line of sight for implements like rear-mounted off-set mowers. An optional high-visibility roof panel gives the operator full view of a fully raised loader.

The VisionView cab has been designed with traditional livestock operations in mind, with an overall height as low as 102.5 in. (with 18.4R34 tires), enabling a T4 Series tractor full access to low buildings.

Rugged ROPS option
Operators who require traditional, rugged productivity will select the ROPS platform, enabling them to benefit from the same operating environment and ergonomic layout as cab models. All configurations can be specified in this format, which can be further enhanced with the deluxe ROPS package that includes a fully FOPS (Falling Objects Protection System) compliant canopy, grab rail windows, left fender pad, rubber floor mat and 12V power outlet. The foldable ROPS is the perfect choice for operations with low clearance requirements.

On T4 Dual Command ROPS models, Lift-O-Matic Plus is standard. The single lever Lift-O-Matic Plus enables the operator to quickly raise the rear hitch to the desired height or set maximum height or quickly lower the rear hitch to a desired height or pre-determined lower limit.

Tailored offering: a tractor to suit individual needs
The T4 Series benefits from an extensive transmission offering, which means producers can tailor the tractor to suit their individual needs. Choose from a heavy-duty 2WD, ROPS, mechanical shuttle version for basic PTO horsepower all the way up to a 4WD, cab, Dual Command with electrohydraulic shuttle model for deluxe comfort and all-weather versatility.

All models are available with the 12x12 Synchro Command mechanical shuttle, 12x12 power shuttle or 20x20 power shuttle with creeper transmission. All come standard with a column-mounted shuttle lever. The power shuttle offers clutchless fingertip shuttling.

On T4 12x12 models customers can choose from two preferred packages – UTILITY and standard – or customize their own.

T4 UTILITY

  • 12x12 power shuttle
  • Cab
  • Electronic 4WD front axle

T4 Series utility tractors also offer the convenience of the 24x24 Dual Command transmission and 40x40 Dual Command creeper transmission options. The Dual Command transmission provides an easy-to-use Hi-Lo transmission option for smoothly shifting through the gears without the need to depress the clutch pedal. As a result, operators can work with less fatigue. Additionally, the Dual Command features an electro-hydraulic power shuttle with an aggressiveness switch that allows the operator to adjust how fast or slow the forward/reverse engagement is in order to tailor the tractors response to the task at hand.
