New Flyer receives order for 110 Xcelsior CNG buses

New Flyer has received an order from Nassau Inter-County Express in New York for 110 of its 40-foot Xcelsior CNG buses.

New Flyer Industries Inc., the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in the United States and Canada, announces that Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) operated by Transdev Services in the State of New York awarded New Flyer a contract for up to 110 heavy-duty 40-foot Xcelsior compressed natural gas (CNG) powered buses.

The contract for 110 XN40 buses contains a firm order for 52 buses with options for an additional 58 buses and is valued at approximately $53 million dollars.
