Power management company Eaton announces that The Manufacturing Institute awarded Astrid Mozes, Chief Technology Officer, Hydraulics Group, Eaton, the Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Ahead Award for her achievement in the manufacturing industry. The STEP Awards honor women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory-floor to the C-suite.

STEP Ahead is designed to help improve the retention of existing female talent and highlight role models that can help raise awareness about careers for women in manufacturing. Currently, women represent 25% of all manufacturing employees but 51% of the potential workforce. The Manufacturing Institute announced the recipients of the STEP Awards and will hold an awards reception on March 26 in Washington, D.C.

As Chief Technology Officer, Mozes drives innovation and new product development for Eaton’s Hydraulics Group. Since joining Eaton in 1990, Mozes has held a number of positions where she has made remarkable contributions to the company’s growth and success.
