Clean Air Power's dual fuel system receives CARB certification

Clean Air Power's Genesis-EDGE Dual-Fuel system has been certified by CARB, which now enables the technology eligible for sale across the United States.

Clean Air Power, developer of compression-ignited natural gas engine systems for heavy-duty vehicles, has been granted certification for its US Genesis-EDGE Dual-Fuel product by the Air Resources Board of California (CARB). This follows approval from the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) in February this year, making the company’s dual-fuel product eligible for national distribution and sale across the USA.

Clean Air Power has also expanded its distribution network with a partnership agreement with TEC Equipment Inc. (TEC), a full-service truck dealership in the Western Region of the US. TEC brands include Volvo and Mack heavy-duty trucks. In partnership with Clean Air Power, TEC will offer full sales, installation and product support services for customers of Clean Air Power’s Genesis-EDGE Dual-Fuel system.

A similar agreement was reached last month with Bruckner Truck Sales Inc., a dealership operating 22 locations across Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

John Pettitt, Chief Executive of Clean Air Power, says, “I am very pleased that we have achieved certification for our Genesis-EDGE Dual-Fuel in California which, as well as being a significant market for natural gas vehicles, is also the group’s home state. I am equally delighted that we have teamed up with TEC and that our Genesis-EDGE Dual-Fuel system is now available to customers across the Western region, so that we are now well placed to win the first orders for our product in the US.”
