With the market introduction of the 9 Series high-horsepower tractors, DEUTZ-FAHR has opened a new chapter in its history. Serial production of three models started for the Agritechnica trade show: the 9290 TTV Agrotron with 295 hp (217kW), the 9310 TTV Agrotron with 312 hp (229 kW) and the 9340 TTV Agrotron with 336 hp (247 kW).

Every single component on the 9 Series is highly innovative and offers the most advanced solutions on the market. A 47,000 lumen LED work light package, MaxiVision II cabin with 12.8-inch iMonitor2 and the most innovative precision farming equipment available. The tractors include highly efficient Deutz engines from 295 to 336 hp, continuously variable TTV transmission for precise speeds of 0.2 to 60 km/h at a reduced engine speed, coupled with newly developed axle suspension and dry disc brakes for maximum safety. The 9 Series is also offered with a more than ample 12,000 kg rear lift capacity. The electronically controlled opening bonnet enables quick access to all maintenance points. With the 9 Series, DEUTZ-FAHR provides three perfectly balanced and impressive tractor models that make work simpler and faster – and do so with the lowest possible consumption.

Cabin and Comfort

The MaxiVision II cab offers plenty of room for the driver. High-quality materials create a pleasant, bright working atmosphere. Large windows enable the driver the best all-round view. Thanks to the redesigned bonnet, the front attachment area is also easily visible. The cabin has pneumatic suspension and is detached from the engine cowling area, which means that heat, vibration and noise from the engine do not reach the cabin interior. The maximum noise level is 69 dB.

All main driving functions including the Comfortip system, power lift and auxiliary valves are controlled with the new ergonomically designed joystick on the armrest. All operating elements are clearly marked with colours and logically ordered according to function. The driver intuitively gets to grip with the 9 Series after a short time.

Agrosky - Precision Farming

The 9 Series is equipped with the latest precision-farming systems. Satellite-guided work is possible to an accuracy within 2 cm, and is compatible with satellite systems and correction signals from just a single receiver. Automatic control systems are available in different versions. The 9 Series is equipped with the latest ISOBUS systems and is TIM-ready (tractor implement management). The data management system can also be automated via the standardised ISOXML data format. All DEUTZ-FAHR precision farming systems are displayed on the iMonitor2 on a uniform interface and can be operated using either the touchscreen or the MMI console.

Engine and transmission

There is no substitute for the Deutz TTCD 7.8 L, 6-cylinder engines (295 to 336 hp) with two-stage turbocharger, intercooler, SCR, DPF and DCR technology. The ‘downspeed concept’ makes the new generation of engines unique, meeting all the international emissions regulations (Tier 4 Final) without incurring a loss of performance.

The TTV transmission delivers exactly the right speed for all types of work. It combines the efficiency of mechanical components with the intelligence of a hydrostatic drive, covering a speed range of 0.2 to 60 km/h and provides the best efficiency levels especially in the field work range between 7 and 15 km/h.

Axles and brakes

The newly developed chassis is designed for the highest load capacity, the hardest work and maximum manoeuvrability. The suspended front axle guarantees ultimate driving comfort and maneuverability. The innovative frame enables the axle to oscillate completely free within a spring deflection of +/– 45 mm. This considerably maximizes the spring effect. The steering lock angle is up to 50 degrees.

All 9 Series tractors are equipped as standard with the DEUTZ-FAHR Powerbrake System. Large external, dry front axle brakes are a matter of course on 50 km/h tractors. EPB (Electric Parking Brake) also comes as standard. It is automatically deactivated once the direction of travel has been selected and is activated automatically shortly after the driver has left the vehicle.

Distributors and hydraulic systems

The attachment areas on the 9 Series are strong and extremely versatile. With a lifting force of 12,000 kg at the rear and 5,000 kg at the front, every conceivable type of equipment combination can be operated. The high-performance hydraulics with a maximum delivery rate of 210 l/min, supplies up to eight control units plus the front linkage, and all control units can be proportionally activated. The rates of flow and the activation time are easy to program for each control unit individually from the driver’s seat.

With three power take-off speeds (540 Eco, 1000 and 1000 Eco) at the rear and 1000 and 1000 Eco from the front, every job is completed highly efficiently. Thanks to the downspeed engine characteristics, the use of the eco power take-off shafts can be extended and fuel consumption significantly reduced.

Extra

The electrically opening bonnet is highly innovative. It can be opened and closed quite simply from the cabin steps by pressing a button – a very unique idea, which further reduces the effort spent on maintenance.
