Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket has developed an intelligent information color display, the VDO ViewGate, that provides transit bus operators with a new gateway to better information, safety and comfort.

• Provides single information center
• Eliminates cockpit clutter and helps driver to better focus on task of driving
• Integrates and prioritizes diverse data from multiple sources and presents it in a clear and concise manner
• Programmable to display vehicle data available on J1939 CAN (or as discrete inputs) such as speeds, temperatures, pressures, fluid levels, and on-board voltage and current
• Can connect Bluetooth devices, and be used for telematics and fleet management
• Processes up to two CAN inputs at same time, using J1939 or conventional CAN 2.0b protocols
• Features USB port and SD card reader 
• Multimedia module enables driver to play audio or video files, use navigation or a rearview camera, and save vehicle data on portable storage media
• Flexible and freely programmable operating system allows easy customization to meet specific customer requirements, graphics criteria and HMI interfaces
• Can  combine with an alarm function to alert driver to relevant situations or specific operating conditions
• Controls and feeds data through 800 x 480 pixel resolution TFT display and 152.4 x 91.4 mm (7 in.) touchscreen
• Features high-contrast resolution and wide viewing angle
• Capable of creating conventional look of analog dials as well as graphic display formats
