The Micronor MR330 Series is a 100% Passive Fiber Optic Absolute Position Sensor System featuring improved electronics and firmware-based algorithms which have increased single-turn resolution from 13 to 14 bits.

  • Backwards compatible with older models
  • Design is based on an all-optical passive sensor and remote interrogator module interconnected by an industry-standard multimode fiber optic link
  • Requires no remote power supply, isolation barriers or EX cabinets
  • Immune to any electro-magnetic interference such as lightening, radiation and magnetic fields
  • Operating temperature range is -40 to 80 C
  • ATEX categorized as "simple apparatus"
  • EX classified "inherently safe" for use in mines, oil rigs, petrochemical plants
  • Provides interference-free position feedback over long distances
  • Outperforms resolvers and electronics-based encoders in harsh and hazardous environments
  • Measures absolute angular position from 0 to 360 degrees with 13/14 bit resolution and multiturn tracking up to 12 bits (4,096 turns)
  • Can operate at full accuracy at speeds >2,500 rpm and distances >300 m
  • Controller offers multiple built-in interfaces: SSI, USB, Serial, Modbus, analog and digital set points
