The coveted award was presented to Norgren GVT executives at Navistar’s corporate headquarters in Warrenville, Ill. Norgren GVT earned the distinction for meeting and exceeding Navistar’s expectations for quality, delivery and cost.

Norgren GVT provides fluid and motion control solutions for power train, chassis and light vehicle applications to all major European and North American heavy-duty truck manufacturers, including Navistar, which produces International(R) brand trucks.

Navistar’s Diamond Supplier Award recognizes those suppliers who strategically align themselves with the company’s business goals and demonstrate a clear commitment to continuous improvement. Diamond suppliers like Norgren GVT create products of distinction by providing components at competitive costs, which allows the company to realize profitable growth, the company added.

In 2007, Norgren GVT developed several innovative devices that have offered customers significant benefits. For example, the company developed a chassis-mounted modular solenoid valve assembly for air management controls giving OEMs greater feature management and more flexible manufacturing options. By moving the valves from under the dash to the chassis where they are closer to individual applications such as power take-off devices, Norgren GVT’s air solenoid accessory makes it easier for technicians to detect costly air leaks. It also makes it easier for OEMs and truck owners to add other air accessories later.
