Cat Lift Trucks, a provider of lift trucks known for quality, reliability and customer service, announces that one of its newest products, the 5,000 to 6,500 lb. capacity series of electric pneumatic tire lift trucks, has been nominated as one of Plant Engineering’s 2012 Products of the Year under the Material Handling Systems category. The lift truck series will be featured in the November issue, where Plant Engineering subscribers will have the opportunity to vote on the product that they consider the best in various categories.

The durable 80V 2EPC5000-2EP6500 Series of lift trucks can deliver performance similar to, or better than, an Internal Combustion (IC) lift truck with all of the benefits of an electric forklift, including no harmful emissions and a reduction in overall running costs. The new lift trucks also include a wide range of productivity-enhancing features and benefits, including increased energy efficiency and performance, allowing operators the ability to run up to two shifts on one battery charge in most applications.
Product of the Year nominees will be featured in the November issue of Plant Engineering, and readers will then vote for their top product selection in each category. Based on the results, products receiving a gold, silver or bronze medal will be honored at a special ceremony in Chicago next March. Winners will be announced in the April 2013 issue of Plant Engineering.
