New Caterpillar Apps Simplify Processes

These new apps will make requesting products and services easier. They will also help contractors with fleet management.

During a media event the day before CONEXPO-CON/AGG, Caterpillar announced several new apps to help original equipment manufacturers and end users improve user experiece, extend uptime and simplify parts and service requests.

Cat Central

The Cat Central logoThe Cat Central logoCaterpillar Inc.The Cat Central App helps with parts and support wherever the end user is. With it, end users have these benefits:

  • Easier ordering of genuine Cat parts that fit the customers’ assets
  • Scanning a QR code to instantly access verified-to-fit parts or save the asset for the future
  • Anywhere, anytime access to Cat parts support specialists (24/7)
  • Multiple payment and delivery options plus free in-store pick up
  • General support resources, including manuals and fault code descriptions, to soon be available
  • Access to other digital solutions offering equipment management, financing and rewards

SIS2GO

In 2021, the Service Information System (SIS2) launched. A new companion to SIS2, SIS2GO. It puts maintenance, troubleshooting and repair information in the hands of Caterpillar equipment owners. A monthly or annual subscription provides troubleshooting guides, step-by-step repair procedures, recommended tooling to complete the repair, and hydraulic and electrical schematics.

  • Needs review (with fault codes letting operators and owners know the equipment needs attention)

  • Integrates with parts.cat.com
  • Four levels of subscription
