FPT F28 Engine

FPT Industrial has unveiled its F28, an engine with diesel and natural gas versions which is designed to be small, productive and environmentally-friendly.

• Delivers maximum power of 55 kW (73.8 hp) at 2,300 rpm and maximum torque of 375 Nm (276.6 ft.-lb.) at 1,400 rpm
• Displacement of 2.8 L, but delivers a 3.4-L performance in 2.2 L package
• Compliant with Stage V and Tier 4 Final emission standards
• Ultra compact aftertreatment solution uses a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) with Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) for the European market, and DOC for North America while maintaining the same packaging for both regions
• Integrated EGR channels and reduced block's bridge solution adds to compactness and ensures easy vehicle installation
• Single-side serviceability and service interval of 600 hours provides simple maintenance and low running costs
• Natural gas version features same displacement and interface as the diesel version, with common base components, and a 3-way catalyst as the aftertreatment system
• Natural gas version will enable further reduction of pollutant emissions and ability to run on biomethane could reduce CO₂ emissions to almost zero
