Talking with Doug Laudick, Manager - Product Planning from John Deere Power Systems about the company's full line-up of Tier 4 Final engines on display at CONEXPO 2014. Along with the engines and aftertreatment devices on display, JDPS had drivetrain components and DEF dispensing technology.
To meet the ever increasing stringent emissions requirements, John Deere has had a building-block approach. Some of the primary building blocks were high pressure fuel systems to work with PM, cooled-EGR for NOx control, and more recently an exhaust filter with a DOC and a DPF. Going into T4F, added SCR was added.
