Fluid Power
Development of a hydraulic fluid contaminant sensor
The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation, in keeping with its vision to pursue research that has the potential to transform the fluid power industry, has awarded a major research grant to the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department at Iowa State University. The project, Dielectric Spectroscope Sensor Development for Hydraulic Fluid Containment Detection, will focus on developing new technology for low-cost, on-board, real-time fluid power sensors.
