RMT Equipment was established in 1996 by Mr. Bob and Marc Lefebvre (father & son), who today are still very active in the company. At that time, the market for loader scales was barely started and many loader scales on the market were low technology, and neither durable nor accurate. With VEI, RMT was already able at that time to offer to its North American customers, the first all-in-one loader scale monitor with a built-in printer: the VEI Helper P5. With its ability to weigh on the move, an accuracy of 0 ± 1% and extreme durability in Canada’s cold winters, RMT built its solid reputation with customers and distributors

Today, RMT Equipment is the leading specialist in weighing systems, not only for wheel loaders, but also for excavators, forklifts and conveyors. We are the North American Head Office for the VEI Payload Management Systems (Loader scales) and the Canadian Head Office for Scitronics belt scales and metal detectors. From our Canadian Head Office, we have been supplying the North American market for the last 10 years.

RMT's product line is supported in North America by his wide dealer network in the United States and Canada. Every RMT Master Distributor is factory trained and benefits from our personnel’s vast experience in selling and installing weighing systems.
