UQM Technologies Inc. announces that it has unveiled its newest product launch at the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo held in Novi, MI. The company has introduced a full lineup of PowerPhase HD2 electric motor inverters, which complements its signature motors and software controls, to further serve its customers in the electric vehicle market. UQM is showcasing its HD2 inverters alongside its array of PowerPhase Pro, HD, and fuel cell compressor systems at the premier USA tradeshow going on now and through September 13.
UQM’s new PowerPhase HD2 inverter provides greater reliability and manufacturability, improved packaging, and expanded performance. The inverters’ packaging has a decrease in weight by more than half, while achieving better overall system efficiency. The PowerPhase HD2 is currently available in prototype form for key pilot customers and early market entry, and UQM plans to formalize production at its Longmont, Colorado, headquarters early in 2019.
