  • Features full-authority electronic controls driving a High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) fuel system
  • Four-cylinder, 2.8-liter design featuring fully passive Cummins Compact Catalyst aftertreatment system
  • Meets Tier 4 Final and Stage IIIB emissions regulations
  • Electronically driven HPCR system enables multiple fuel injection events with over 1,600 bar (23,000 psi) pressure capability
  • Provides cleaner combustion and improved fuel efficiency
  • Uses Cummins Compact Catalyst aftertreatment to meet Tier 4 regulations
  • Without catalyst, the same base engine meets all other emissions requirements, including Tier 3 and Stage IIIA
  • Features small installation envelope
  • Offers lighter weight, just 507 lbs. (230 kg), due to sculpted design high-strength cast-iron block and use of composite material for features such as valve cover
  • Incorporates rear gear train, providing mounting stiffness and lower gear noise
  • Delivers peak torque of 118 lb-ft (160 N•m), with over 80% of this available at 900 rpm
  • Wastegate turbocharger ensures rapid engine response to load demands at all engine speeds
  • Electronic Control Module (ECM) is remote mounted for easy access to provide rapid plug-in diagnostics and operational data downloads
