SAE Heavy Truck Handling, Dynamics and Control Symposium

During this three-day SAE event, attendees will have a chance to learn about and discuss topics relevant to heavy-duty vehicle dynamics and control.

The SAE 2012 Heavy Truck Handling, Dynamics and Control Symposium will be filled with presentations and networking opportunities for the heavy-duty and military transportation industries.

Vehicle dynamics, stability control, braking, steering and safety technologies are just a few of the topics which will be covered during the event's presentations. Current sessions under development include:

  • Heavy Truck dynamics Handling Challenges
  • Steering, Suspension and Tire Effects on Truck Handling
  • Rollover Stability Dynamics and Control Topics
  • Handling Dynamics and Control Assessment through Modeling and Testing

Along with the technical sessions there will be a tour of Michelin's K&C Rig Workshop and a ride-along demonstration event.

SAE invites OEMs, suppliers, government agencies as well as academic institutions to attend the event. Abstracts are also being accepted, and are due by January 16, 2012. Submissions can be online.
