Bendix Tech Talks Returning to Mid-America Trucking Show

Bendix announces its Tech Talks Series is returning to the Mid-America Trucking Show, featuring "How-to" demonstrations and Q-and-A opportunities with company experts.

The Bendix Tech Talk Series will return to the Mid-America Trucking Show this year, offering attendees opportunities to discuss issues and technologies directly with Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC experts. Introduced in 2011, the series continues Bendix’s effort to help educate show attendees about topics such as advanced safety technologies, energy management solutions, CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability), and reduced stopping distance. “How-to” demonstrations and interactive question-and-answer sessions are a key part of the Tech Talk Series.

The 15-minute Tech Talks, open to all show attendees, begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 22. The final session is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 24. All Tech Talks will take place at Bendix’s booth, No. 32305 in the South Hall. Fifteen Tech Talks in all are scheduled.

This year’s information-packed slate of Tech Talks will cover topics such as the keys to CSA for drivers and fleets, what’s new with air disc brakes and clutch compressors as a factor in improving fuel economy and vehicle performance. “How-to” talks will address proper alignment of vehicle radar systems, maintenance and inspection of air foundation brakes and tire pressure monitoring systems.

“The response to our introductory Tech Talks last year was outstanding, and the feedback we received was invaluable in shaping this year’s program,” says Barbara Gould, Bendix director of communications. “We designed the series to offer something for everyone – whether drivers, fleet operators, OEs, or maintenance technicians. No matter what your job in the trucking industry, there’s a Bendix Tech Talk to help you do it better. We’re pleased to continue building on our tradition of keeping the industry well-informed.”
