High-performance transmission specialist Oerlikon Graziano is the lead partner in this year’s The Environment for Innovation event at CastelBrando, Cison di Valmarino, Treviso, Italy. The event, which takes place May 24 to 25, is the cornerstone of Technology Forum 2013 and builds on the success of last year’s forum to nurture innovation of Italian companies operating in Italy.
“The Oerlikon Group contributes through its technology solutions to the development of an ecosystem for innovation,” says Paolo Ramadori, Oerlikon Graziano CEO. “In particular, it is developing cutting edge systems for the Automotive Transmission and Shifting Solutions and has created a sustainable ecosystem in cooperation with university research centers within a development program supported by the European Community.”
Oerlikon Graziano will present its latest Hybrid Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), named OG-Eco, which provides a lightweight, cost-effective technology alternative to Dual Clutch Transmissions (DCT). More flexible than a DCT, it lowers drivetrain weight, offers greater efficiency, smoother shift in an urban environment and increased gearbox feel for performance use.
The event hosts expert speakers from internationally-successful companies driving discussion with innovation-focused attendees from areas of research, business, finance and government. Speakers from Singapore, Belgium, Silicon Valley, Israel and the UK will provide debate-driven strategic tools and insight into successful innovation models and supply chain development.
Paolo Ramadori will showcase Oerlikon Graziano as a successful implementation of innovation in Italy; despite Italy is going through a difficult time, the company is investing in new high-technology solutions and planning to expand.
