Oerlikon Graziano SpA, part of Oerlikon Drive Systems Segment, worldwide provider of complete drive systems, gearing solutions and transmission components, has been praised by the inspection service company INAIL Puglia, Italian region, for virtuous enterprise in safety. Graziano has been invited to utilize this testimony in
the Safety in the Workplace information campaign, which is promoted by RAI TV. A series of interviews have been conducted in the plant Oerlikon Graziano Bari and broadcast on television news, national and regional programs.
"Oerlikon Graziano’s activities in recent years on the issue of Safety and Environment in the workplace are paying off," says Paolo Ramadori, Chairman and CEO Oerlikon Graziano Group SpA. "We are proud that our Bari plant, an engineering industry success story for the Puglia Region, has been recommended by INAIL, the national institute watching over the safety of workers, as an example of a company working at the forefront of these issues.”
Oerlikon Graziano has put environmental protection, health and safety of workers at the top of its agenda in all the group’s plants. The adoption of an integrated system of management, control and the structured involvement of employees, who participated directly and actively in the improvement of working conditions, has allowed a drastic reduction in the frequency and severity of accidents.
"In three years we have invested in over ten thousand hours of training, involving all employees: every day, in all the Italian plants, we start our activities talking about the safety of the workplace; every year, at the same time in all our five Italian plants, we dedicate a day to safety and environment in which all employees are involved. These are just some of the initiatives undertaken," continues Ramadori. "We aim to inspire all employees to achieve outstanding results even in the Security field, reaching our true goal of zero accidents."
