Preparations are in full swing at BKT for the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment. We are talking about bauma, the triennial exhibition that this year takes place in Munich, April 11-17. Right from the entrance but also in the passages in between the halls, BKT will welcome visitors by means of their strong and appealing advertising presence conveying BKT’s vision. As in the last edition of bauma in 2013, BKT will exclusively customize all rickshaws that are at the trade show visitors’ disposal for moving around in the large open-air exhibition area. And it is right outdoors, where it is difficult to miss BKT’s new giant tire, Earthmax SR 45 Plus, with its extraordinary height of 2.70 m.
At the BKT stand indoors (Hall A6, Stand 225), there will be the Earthmax series with six different models in the spotlight: Earthmax SR 41 (size 29.5 R 25), an all-steel radial tire for articulated dumpers; the highly cut-resistant Earthmax SR 47 (size 24.00 R 35), specially designed for rigid dumpers operating under the harshest conditions; Earthmax SR 53 (size 23.5 R 25), a strong and durable tire, ideal for loaders and dozers in quarries and mining applications. In the same league plays Earthmax SR 22 (size 20.5 R 25), a tough tire for loaders and motor graders operating in extreme winter conditions on ice or snow.
Another member of the Earthmax family has just rolled off the production line. It is Earthmax SR 31 (size 23.5 R 25), a strong and solid all-steel tire with multi-layer steel belts, which is specially designed for loaders, dozers and articulated dumpers. The tire provides extraordinary strength and stability in addition to excellent cut and heat resistance.
Yet, the most amazing and spectacular newcomer in the big BKT family, without any doubt is Earthmax SR 45 Plus (size 27.00 R 49) with its stunning dimensions showing off a diameter of 2.70 m. This giant radial tire has been engineered for rigid dumpers and is ideal for long-haul operations. The strong all-steel casing structure stands for extraordinary stability, as well as enhanced cut-and-chip resistance.
The special tread design also provides excellent self-cleaning properties and minimizes vibrations and noise. The giant tire displayed in the outdoor area means also a great step forward for BKT into a market of giants. For on- and off-the-road cranes, BKT will showcase AIROMAX AM 27 (size 445/95 R 25) featuring excellent performance at high speed along with best riding comfort in addition to extraordinary heat resistance.
bauma is the perfect occasion for BKT to present also its novelties in the logistics sector. The following tires from the PORTMAX and LIFTMAX lineups are in focus: PORTMAX PM 90 (size 18.00 R 25) is a multi-layer steel-belted radial tire for reach stackers. Thanks to the all-steel structure, loads are well distributed on the ground and the casing is highly resistant. The low rolling resistance turns into fuel economy. For straddle carriers in port applications, BKT has designed the radial tire PORTMAX PM 93 (size 16.00 R 25) featuring an all-steel structure and multi-layer steel belts to ensure high load capacity.
Another tire with an all-steel structure is the brand new LIFTMAX LM 81 (size 7.50 R 25) tire for forklifts. It provides a whole range of advantages – from the extremely resistant casing, over low rolling resistance to excellent stability even at high speed, and not least the reduction of operating costs.
