The 42,000-square-foot building stocks a wide range of the company's products and is intended to improve response times for unplanned or emergency needs in the region.
“OTR has made a significant investment in the Phoenix facility, not only in the 42,000-square-foot building, but also in technology and products we’ve committed there,” said Mitch Mittlestadt, general manager/aftermarket. “This location gives us an unmatched ability to quickly respond to unplanned or emergency tire and track needs in the region. What’s even more exciting is we’ve left room for expansion.”
Foam Fill Exchange Program Expands Reach
In addition to warehousing, the Phoenix location offers the company's Foam Fill Exchange program. It is targeted at tire dealers and equipment rental operations in the construction and material handling markets.
As part of the program, OTR provides a new foam-filled tire and wheel assembly to replace a customer's worn or damaged unit. The old tire is recycled and the rim is refurbished to reduce costs. OTR delivery drivers handle the exchange on dedicated routes throughout Arizona, New Mexico and southern California. The company plans to add service to Nevada in the near future.
