Philippi-Hagenbuch Inc. has invented a new version of its Autogate Tailgate specifically for off-highway trucks and roll-off containers that require a 100% positive seal.
- Can be paired with PHIL’s proprietary fluidic seal material to create water-tight seal which contains liquid materials within truck body or roll-off container
- Able to be designed for practically any size off-highway truck or roll-off container
- Pairs well with PHIL’s outrigger, whose traditional scissors-style mechanism provides maximum opening clearance at full dump
- In closed position, design positively locks into place and will not open under normal conditions without body or container entering “dump” mode
- Can be built up for sideboards when capacity is a concern
- Builds up rearmost portion of truck body or container to create cohesive flange from which the tailgate compresses
- Two hooks on either side of base of the flange intercept a corresponding tag on the tailgate, allowing tailgate to pivot inward as sidearm and over-center locking mechanism compressively lock rear tailgate into place
- Optional body seals, fluidic seals and cushion pads are available to further customize
- Roll-off containers with PHIL’s Positive Seal Autogate Tailgate pair well with PHIL J-Hook industrial-strength hook truck outfitted with corresponding PHIL tailgate outrigger
