**NOTE: The 2020 edition of the Production Liability Seminar, as well as the Product Safety & Compliance Seminar, set to take place in April has been postponed until further notice. AEM will release new dates soon.**
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers' annual Product Liability Seminar brings together a group of experienced trial and corporate attorneys who will provide attendees with in-depth information about product liability topics. Attending this seminar will better enable designers to defend their designs should the ever be called upon to testify about the safety of them.
The seminar offers insight into factors that impact the existence and ultimate scope of a claim, steps along this process to minimize the risks of litigation, preparation, deposition and trial, proper management and protection of internal communications, effective product and supplier quality programs, and traits of an active product safety committee.
The 2019 event will take place in Des Moines, IA; the venue and topics are yet to be announced.
In addition to learning about liability positioning, litigation avoidance and the overall litigation process, a mock trial event will also be included in the day's agenda.
This seminar is co-located with AEM's Product Safety & Compliance Seminar being held at the same location.
