Nearly every component manufacturing team at CONEXPO-CON/AGG (CONEXPO) discussed ways that their technology can help end users with operations after the sell. Including aftermarket services and connectivity will allow end users to manage their fleets, optimize maintenance intervals and provide data to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their dealers. Aftermarket & Remanufacturing
The new C13D engine platform from Caterpillar will be equipped with Cat Digital Services, an integrated suite of software and hardware solutions. This connectivity supplies insight for equipment owners to make decisions on the fly, secure the health of their equipment and minimize nonproductive time.
Caterpillar also offers aftermarket services and remanufactured engines. The aftermarket services benefit OEMs because they offer service through the Caterpillar dealer network or through partnerships with the OEMs’ dealer network. Caterpillar’s Service Replacement Engine provides reduced costs and downtime. The engines are a drop-in solution for end users. What’s more, Caterpillar’s extended service coverage also helps reduce out-of-pocket expenses.

Caterpillar announced several new apps to help original equipment manufacturers and end users improve user experience, extend uptime and simplify parts and service requests. These apps are:
- The Cat Central App, which helps with parts and support wherever the end user is
- SIS2GO puts maintenance, troubleshooting and repair information in the hands of Caterpillar equipment owners
