Celebrating 50 years ‘Building the Future’ with the Genie brand, Terex AWP marked its presence at bauma 2016 in Munich this April with the unveiling of four new products, including the new Genie GTH-3007 compact telehandler. Providing fleet owners the versatile on-site productivity and cost-efficiency they need at a market-beating price, the new GTH-3007 telehandler combines efficient, full-featured capabilities with the most compact dimensions and lightest machine weight in its category.

As the heavier lifting, higher reaching brother of the Genie GTH-2506 compact telehandler, at the low weight of 5,970 kg (13,161 lbs.) the new GTH-3007 telehandler shares the same rugged durability common to all other six models of the Genie GTH telehandler family. “However, unlike other heavier units by other brands, our new GTH-3007 telehandler combines the full capacity of a 6.89 m (22 ft. 7 in.) machine with the cost-efficiencies that only a 74 hp Stage IIIB (Tier 4 Final engine) can provide,” says Christine Zeznick, Product Manager, Terex AWP EMEAR (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia).

Boasting a maximum lift capacity of 3,000 kg (6,614 lbs.), a vertical reach capacity of 2,500 kg (5,511 lbs.) at a maximum height of 6.89 m (22 ft. 7 in.), and a horizontal reach capacity of 1,000 kg (2,205 lbs.) at 3.99 m (13 ft. 1 in.), this new unit comes with the benefits of a low-emissions 74 hp Deutz Stage IIIB (Tier 4 Final) compliant engine to provide operators productive capacity and rapid rental returns on investment.

“In addition to reducing the machine’s initial acquisition cost, this new telehandler offers owners the peace of mind of fully compliant and low emissions operation without the need of DEF (urea) aftertreatment. Servicing is also notably faster and easier than units with higher horsepower engines which enhances rental availability and boosts profitability,” says Zeznick.

Focusing on fast rental returns, in addition to offering a vertical reach up to the equivalent of three floors, this productive, versatile machine is well suited to an extremely wide variety of outdoor lifting, carrying, loading and placement duties in the general construction, waste-handling, recycling, materials-handling, demolition and farming sectors. Coupled with a 2.55 m (8 ft. 4 in.) inside turning radius and high 45 cm (18 in.) ground clearance, its compact dimensions offer a machine length at front wheels of 4.06 m (13 ft. 4 in.), a machine width of 2 m (6 ft. 6 in.) and a machine height of 2.07 m (6 ft. 8 in.) making the GTH-3007 unit the perfect match for jobs on busy and congested sites in confined or difficult to access spaces. Optimizing transport costs, the combination of low weight and short machine length enable three units to be carried on one standard truck.

Combining the durable ‘built-to-last’ quality and serviceability features that Genie products are known for, the GTH-3007 telehandler includes a rugged chassis, a two-stage boom with no chains or cables, durable heavy-duty steel fenders and field proven Dana axles with dual brakes, full-time planetary four-wheel drive and four-wheel steer. Equipped with a variable speed hydrostatic transmission for smooth powerful drive, this unit features a side-mounted engine cover with a comfortable opening angle for easy filter replacement, access to engine components and hydraulic test ports located at the front of the chassis. For attachment flexibility, the GTH-3007 comes with an optional auxiliary hydraulics Quick Attach carriage, a feature that the model shares with the GTH-2506 compact telehandler.
