The Ingear two-speed transmission provides high efficiency, low cost and smooth shifting which all help to improve overall electric vehicle performance.

Paul Bottero, CEO and President, Inmotive, says the Ingear two-speed transmission was designed with electric motors in mind and features a simple design which provides many benefits. These include high efficiency and lower cost, as well as smooth shifting because there are no clutches.

And because there are no clutches, Bottero says the transmission is able to provide continuous power during shifting which can be particularly beneficial in many off-highway applications, such as a loaded piece of equipment traveling uphill.

The high efficiency, low cost and smooth shifting benefits provided by Ingear are especially beneficial for electric vehicles which are integral to ensuring performance of these vehicle types.
