HET: High-Efficiency Traction Control

Bosch Rexroth introduces its latest single-wheel drive solution for compact vehicles, the  high-efficiency traction control (HET).

• Enables fully automatic switch from two-wheel to all-wheel drive
• Combines high energy efficiency with a high level of driving comfort
• Allows compact vehicles to operate efficiently with two-wheel drive on normal roads, and provides optimal all-wheel drive characteristics for difficult terrain
• Fully automatic all-wheel drive actuation feature kicks in immediately when needed and helps improve operator comfort
• Features compact design and easy installation without any electronics
• If the main drive axle's torque is reduced as a result of slippage, distribution is balanced by automatically actuating the front wheels' motors which activates the ancillary drive as needed
• Prevents oil from becoming hydraulically clamped between wheels with varying levels of grip
• Specially developed HET valve block ensures excess hydraulic oil caused by natural slip is directed to low-pressure side of circuit to improve efficiency
