C&U moves into larger facility to better support growth in U.S. market

To more easily meet the needs of its growing customer base, C&U Americas has moved into a new, larger facility.

Cu Americas 5 Mile Facility

C&U Americas, the North American subsidiary of The C&U Group, China’s largest bearing producer and one of the world’s top 10 bearing manufacturers, has moved its overall operations to a new and larger facility. The company, which will continue to stay in Plymouth, MI, will move from 44330 Plymouth Oaks Blvd to 45901 Five Mile Road. The relocation was necessitated by the company’s successful growth in the U.S. market and aggressive plans to expand its bearing business throughout the entire NAFTA region. The official relocation date is November 15, 2013.

The announcement was made by William A. Childers, President of C&U Americas, who notes, “This new facility will provide our team with over 31,000 square feet of much needed office and warehouse space. This will give us a far greater capacity for inventory and make it easier to distribute bearing products to our OEM and aftermarket customers in the automotive and industrial markets. Most importantly, it will allow us to quadruple the size of our R&D department and engineering laboratory to better serve our customers’ needs.”

C&U Americas offers a full line of bearing types and styles for use in original equipment manufacturing, aftermarket replacement, and MRO operations. The C&U portfolio includes over 3,000 types of bearings in a wide range of specifications and sizes ranging from 1.5 mm inner diameter to 4,000 mm outer diameter.

As China’s largest bearing producer, and one of the world’s top 10 bearing manufacturers, C&U utilizes the formidable production capabilities of its nine manufacturing centers, 34 bearing plants, and 22 vertically integrated component plants to produce over 2.3 million bearings per day. C&U relies on state-of-the-art manufacturing and stringent QC in order to maintain its leadership position in the bearing market.

C&U Bearings are precision made in advanced manufacturing facilities that are independently certified for ISO9001 Quality Management System, QS9000/VDA6.1 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System and SO/TS16949: 2002 Quality Management Systems.
