Maxwell 51V Ultracapacitor Module

Maxwell Technologies Inc. has introduced the 51V module, the latest addition to its ultracapacitor product offerings for rugged applications.

• Uses Maxwell's 2.85V, 3,400-farad (F) ultracapacitor cell to deliver high energy and power density 
• Offers self-cooling system solution that helps optimize performance of hybrid buses and other high-duty cycle applications
• Features Maxwell's proprietary DuraBlue Advanced Shock and Vibration Technology which provides three times the vibrational resistance and four times the shock immunity of previous offerings
• Meets and exceeds industry's highest vibration (ISO 16750-3, Table 12) standard for ultracapacitor modules
• IP65 environmental protection rating ensures module is not impacted by dust and water
• Includes active cooling system
• Cooling system improves maximum continuous current rating by nearly 90% and ensures optimal performance in extreme temperatures, down to -40 C and up to 65 C (-40 F and 149 F)
• Has identical mounting pattern to current 48V module
