Some of the ways ISS is setting the standard in remanufacturing is with its ability to implement remanufacturing programs for parts that are either no longer economical to produce new, or that require a designed-in remanufacturing strategy from the start of volume production. This means improved product lifecycle profitability for OEMs, and enhanced service and extended product life for the customer.
In cooperation with the OEM and/or Tier-1 Supplier(s), the engineering staff at ISS are able to identify component failure modes, develop test procedures and manage an end-to-end ISO:T/S 16949:2009 certified remanufacturing program. One of the primary goals with the remanufacturing process at ISS is to design and implement a past model parts service program so that it blends as seamlessly as possible with an existing OEM program.
