TTControl, a joint-venture company of TTTech Computertechnik AG and HYDAC International GmbH, has launched its product family of high-end electronic control units named HY-TTC 500.

- Includes high performance dual-core ARM Cortex-R4 lockstep processor
- For use in demanding safety-critical mobile applications
- Protected by a compact, automotive-style housing suited for harsh environments
- Fulfills safety requirements up to SIL 2 (IEC 61508)/PL d (ISO 13849)
- Can be programmed either in C or in CODESYS
- Safety certified CODESYS Safety SIL 2 speeds up application validation significantly
- Majority of run-time tests for diagnostic coverage required for SIL 2/PL d is performed in hardware by dual-core lockstep CPU and its safety companion, leaving almost full processor power available for the application
- Memory protection mechanisms allow execution of safety and non-safety software on the same ECU without interference, eliminating need for time-consuming validation of non-safe software
- Safe data communication is achieved by standardized CANopen Safety protocol
- Can be shut off in three groups allowing limp-home functionality in case of safety-relevant failure outputs
- I/O set with various configuration options makes suitable for a wide range of high-end applications such as in construction and agricultural machinery
- Enables build up of a centralized architecture using one single controller for the whole vehicle to minimize costs through reduced wiring and reduced development effort
- Available in two variants, HY-TTC 540 and HY-TTC 580 with different I/O sets and interfaces to meet different requirements of OEMs
