Michigan Tech and REL Inc. receive grant to develop a conformable CNG tank for trucks

Michigan Tech and REL have been awarded a grant by the Southwestern Energy Co. to design, fabricate and test a conformable CNG tank for use in light-duty trucks.

These metal matrix composite (MMC) brake rotors from REL are made from a combination of aluminum and ceramic. The light weight aluminum offers heat dissipation capabilities while the ceramic provides wear resistance.
