CM Labs Says Simulation can Benefit Design of Smart, Connected Machines

Simulation allows engineering teams to collaborate early on and iterate designs faster which will be integral to creating smarter and more connected equipment.

On this week’s episode of OEM Industry Update we speak with Drew Carruthers, Director of Product Strategy at CM Labs Simulations about the use of simulation to develop smart and connected machines. Use of simulation technology, such as the company’s Vortex Studio, enables engineering teams to iterate designs faster. It also allows for collaboration and scalability earlier in the design process, so the product is more vetted by the time it comes out, says Carruthers, which will be important as machines become smarter and more connected.

OEM Industry Update covers various technologies and trends in the heavy equipment engineering and manufacturing industries. Click here to find past episodes of the OEM Industry Update podcast.
