
Iveco Group, a global automotive player and parent company of FPT, has announced that Simone Curti will assume the role of president, Powertrain Business Unit, effective June 30, 2026. Curti succeeds Sylvain Blaise, who is departing the company to become the CEO of Manitou Group. Curti will join the senior leadership team and report directly to Olof Persson, CEO of Iveco Group.
Blaise will remain in his current position until June 29 to ensure continuity during the transition. He has been with Iveco Group for 24 years, holding various leadership roles. Since the establishment of the independent Iveco Group in 2022, Blaise has headed FPT, the brand focused on advanced powertrain technologies.
Curti currently serves as the head of commercial operations for the Truck Business Unit in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. He began his career with the company in 2004 after earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino.
Throughout his tenure, Curti has held roles of increasing responsibility within both the Truck and Powertrain Business Units. His experience spans several critical functions, including:
- Engineering and quality
- Industrial platforms
- Customer management
- Commercial operations
